"There seems to be some confusion about the fundraiser for the women’s space/titleholders on February 11^th.  What I am hearing is that people are asking is - if “they “pay for all of the space, why does the women’s space need to do a fundraiser?

So here let me help:  this last year has hit us all hard.  There have been many deaths, including a major organizer for and a major donor to NMLL. NMLL is the “they” that pays for the two major events that occur every year, Spring Pan and Leather Fiesta.  So as the people at NMLL are figuring out how to keep tickets prices from skyrocketing AND keep ALL of the amazing spaces that they provide- they are going to need a little help.

“They”   are taking a HUGE personal and financial risk by putting on these events. If the event take a loss, who do you think pays for that? The thought that the current event ticket sales cover the next event expenses is a solid thought, but not the reality of where the organizers are at the moment.

And that is where you come in. In fact, that is where we all come in. 

We are doing the fundraiser for NMLL, earmarking it for the women’s space. To be able to finically support and create a show of force for those that risk so much for us.
