Getting Unstuck

Many of you who have viewed my blog have seen references to Ignixia and Her boy Shawn.

They have given me a lot of inspiration as far as what to strive for in my personal life. I look to them as a fantastic example of a 24/7 dynamic. They are both kink educators who travel across the country.

Education at the WM 2-4-18

As a courtesy- & service to our community we will hold introductory- & refresher classes on all things related to our kinky lifestyle during our Sunday Wet Munches at the APC. Please be generous and -TIP- our Bartender for his/her great service to you!!!

These classes are going to be interactive, and in them you will find a lot of information related to-, but not limited to:
- Consent between play partners,
- Protocol within the BDSM lifestyle,
- Proper Play Negotiation (and timing!),
- Etiquette on how to behave around others,
- And anything else of concern and/or -curiosity.
Basically the Do's & Dont's, which may either Make-or-Break You!!!

Gail Starr and SANE

Gail Starr, RN is the Clinical Coordinator at Albuquerque SANE Collaborative where she has worked since 2007. They conduct domestic violence and sexual assault exams free of charge and are very patient centered. She has 13 years of nursing experience and is an educator in the areas of Gendered Violence. She is a member of the Statewide Taskforce and is a core trainer for SANEs for NM.  Also, she passionately teaches about Strangulation, Sexual Assault and Intimate Partner Violence even to the point of stopping strangers on the street to inform them of the need to discuss these topics in our communities. She strives to ensure the SANE response is inclusive and supportive to all members of the community. Yoga, watching Korean Dramas, and running in the mountains make up a large part of her self-care.

If You Have To Ask, You Are Not Safe.

As of yesterday, I began separating my community friends from my vanilla friends on Facebook.

I post a lot of sex positive, kinky, LGBTQI...., political, and otherwise extreme shit that my family, vanilla friends and clients are not interested in seeing.

I've started adding people to my new profile which will be the Jinx you know and love VS. the old profile which encompasses my vanilla life.

I've been tagged in questionable posts recently.

I am going through a nasty divorce.

I have kids on my vanilla profile.

I have family, clients and friends on my profile who are very much vanilla.

I need to do some separating.

Life goes on and it is nothing personal.

I'm giving YOU a choice... See my sexy shit...or see my mundane muggle life. If you don't want to see my community life and what drives Jinx, then don't add the other profile.

If you are safe and prefer a muggle profile anyways, keep being yourself and we can be "muggle friends".

Hell, if you can keep things separate, we can be friends on both profiles!

I know some of you out there will not add people on your Facebook account under any circumstances. I know some of you are "out". Separating my life is something I should have done a long time ago, not only for my personal safety, but for the safety of my fellow community members who are not "out" for personal, professional or for "none of your fucking business" reasons. Some of us have things to lose...especially in this dark political time. We all have personal lives that do not revolve around our kinky and unorthodox interests. That is okay!

What isn't okay is getting offended because I've taken you off of my vanilla account and put you on my community account. When you blow up at me for protecting myself, other community members, or even you, you have just shown me you may be a threat. If you demand to know why I took you off of my vanilla account, to me...you are not safe.

If I took you off of my personal account, don't be upset. I want to promote shows I will be in but I do not want certain folks who are literally "out to get me" to see them on my vanilla profile and stalk me thanks to some "friends" who have been keeping tabs on me for people intending to do me harm.

Think before you accuse, type, post, tag, call etc.

Just stop and think.
