On Wish Lists and Interests...

Recently, someone who regularly visits my Fetlife page and sends pretty things from my wish list to me reached out to inquire about some of my choices.
"I have known you for years!" he exclaimed. "I didn't know you were into XYZ!"

He's perfectly right. My interests rarely change.

As of late, I have been extremely busy creating my private library. I love collecting knowledge and being able to share my knowledge with others and learn new things. Every convention I go to, I carefully scrutinize their workshop and class offerings. If there are no classes listed for a specific time block that I am very much interested in attending, I choose the most uncomfortable (for me personally) class to attend.

For example, there were many amazing classes in Dallas for Beyond Vanilla. There were blocks that I had no interest in. A wonderful educator by the name of Ignixia and her boy Shawn taught a class I was extremely excited to take on decorative cutting. The next block of classes I was not particularly drawn to. Despite my fear of medical play (from the cancer treatments), Ignixia and Shawn encouraged me to stay.

I attended the class and learned a lot about medical play, especially the "mind fuck" techniques used which can be applied to a variety of different scenes. I decided right then that maybe medical play was something I would enjoy doing.

I digress... Regardless of whether or not I am interested in a particular fetish, I do believe that books and literature about those topics should be preserved.

We are currently in a state of affairs with our President Trump...in which people like us may be discriminated against, persecuted or worse. Hopefully the next few years will fly by and we will be able to continue to practice our kinks that do not involve lack of consent, children or animals.

In the meantime, literature regarding our kinks, lives and practices need to be preserved. So...by adding them to my Wishlist, I hope that people interested in those fetishes and topics may gift me with the books, therefore providing knowledge and extending my private library so these works may survive a Purge that may or may not come.

Some of you may think I'm being crazy but book burnings and murders of educated individuals have been scattered throughout history...and history repeats itself. Use the Google Machine on your own time to find more examples and evidence of this, for I am far too busy.

I challenge you all to do the same. Expand your knowledge, your understanding and skill sets to teach others. Yes, it makes you a target, but if you are doing it right...you already are. Dodge the bullets, preserve the precious pages, pass on the skills, morals and ethics and we MIGHT survive the next 3 years.

In the meantime, help me build my library or better yet...build your own.
